Get involved and make a difference!

Below is a short description of the many Volunteer Opportunities available now or in the future:

• Choir Parent Organization Board - Work with the choir directors and other parents to help make decisions, plan for events, and coordinate volunteers as a CPO President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer.

• Holiday Dinners Chairperson - Work with a committee to help plan, coordinate, and carry out Holiday Dinners.

• Holiday Dinners Committee Member - Work with the Holiday Dinners Chairperson and other members of the committee to plan, coordinate, and carry out Holiday Dinners. Possible areas of focus include ticket sales, decorations, chaperones, and clean-up.

• Holiday Dinner Set Up & Decorations Crew - Help set up equipment and decorations for Holiday Dinners at EVIT.

• Holiday Dinner Rehearsal Lunch Crew - Pick-up and drop off lunch at EVIT during the set up/decorations day.

• Holiday Dinner Ticket Table Volunteers - Scan peoples' tickets and let the ushers know which table they are at.

• Holiday Dinner Rental Truck Driver (Morning) - Drive rental truck to move decorations from MVHS to EVIT.

• Holiday Dinner Rental Truck Driver (Evening) - Drive rental truck to move decorations from EVIT back to MVHS. Return truck the next morning.

• Holiday Dinner Chaperones - Monitor choir students during Holiday Dinners when they are not performing to help make sure everything goes smoothly.

• Holiday Dinner Clean Up Crew - Help take down decorations and equipment and load into the truck the final night of Holiday Dinners, right after the final concert ends.

• Holiday Dinner Presents Crew - Help gather large boxes prior to Holiday Dinners to use as holiday present decorations. Then, wrap the boxes with holiday wrapping paper.

• Holiday Dinner Hot Cocoa Table Crew - Help set up and man the hot cocoa table prior to Holiday Dinners.

• Football Concession Stand Chairperson - Work with a committee to organize and staff the concession stand at all home football games as well as all choir concerts and festivals held at the Mountain View Performing Arts Center.

• Football Concession Stand Grill Cook - Grill hot dogs and hamburgers during each Varsity Home Football Game.

• Football Concession Stand Committee Member - Work with the Concessions Stand Chairperson, other members of the committee, as well as parents to help plan and run the concessions stand.

• Football Concession Stand Volunteer - Work with the Concessions Stand Chairperson, committee members, other parents, and students to run the concession stand at one or more home football games and/or choir concerts and festivals held at the Mountain View Performing Arts Center. For every parent or student that volunteers for football concessions, $20 will be contributed toward the student's choir account to be used for audition fees, choir trips, etc. 

• Concert Concession Stand Chairperson - Work with a committee to organize and staff the concession stand at choir concerts and festivals held at the Mountain View Performing Arts Center.

• Concert Concession Stand Committee Member - Work with the Concessions Stand Chairperson, other members of the committee, as well as parents to help plan and run the concessions stand at choir concerts and festivals held at the Mountain View Performing Arts Center..

• Concert Concession Stand Volunteer - Work with the Concessions Stand Chairperson, committee members, and other parents to run the concession stand at one or more choir concerts and festivals held at the Mountain View Performing Arts Center. 

• Concert Usher - Help concerts run smoothly by serving as an usher.

• Concert Projector Worker - Set up and oversee the projector and laptop to display on the auditorium wall, starting 30 minutes before the concert and for 15 minutes after the concert. 

• Step Up Volunteer - Assist the directors by serving as a photographer, lunch bringer, or running/supervising games.

• All State Jazz Festival Volunteer - Assist with the All State Jazz festival held at Mountain View. Possible areas of focus include helping set up, providing assistance during the festival, and assisting with running the concession stand for lunch on Thursday and Friday of the Festival.

• Regional Audition Day Volunteer - Help Regional auditions run smoothly by assisting with a variety of duties as directed.

• Regional Music Festival Volunteer - Work with other choir, orchestra, and band parents to assist with the Regional Festival held at Mountain View.

• Broadway Revue Ticket Scanners - Scanning tickets for those coming in to the show for either the 5pm or 7:30pm performance. Patrons can show their tickets right from their phone to be scanned or they can print paper tickets that can be scanned at the door.

• Senior Scholarships Coordinator - Coordinate the application, judging, scoring, and award process for Senior Choir Scholarships. Must not have a senior student enrolled in choir.

• Senior Scholarships Assistant - Assist the Senior Scholarships Coordinator with Senior Scholarships process. Must not have a senior student enrolled in choir.

• Senior Breakfast Banquet Chairperson - Work with a committee to plan and execute the Senior Breakfast held at the end of the year. The Senior Choir Scholarships are presented at this event.

• Senior Breakfast Banquet Committee Member - Work with the Senior Breakfast Chairperson and other members of the committee to plan and execute the Senior Breakfast held at the end of the year. The Senior Choir Scholarships are presented at this event.

• Senior Breakfast Banquet Volunteer - Work with the Senior Breakfast Chairperson, the members of the committee, and other parents to help set up of chairs, tables, and decorations right after school the day prior to the event; help set up and serve food during the banquet; and/or pick up breakfast items and deliver to MVHS (prepaid and ordered by CPA).

• Senior Breakfast Banquet Photographer - Take pictures of students receiving various awards throughout the event.

• Uniform Coordinator - Work with a committee to distribute all choir uniforms to students at the beginning of the year and collect them at the end of the year.

•  Uniform Committee Member - Work with the Uniform Coordinator and other members of the committee to distribute all choir uniforms to students at the beginning of the year and collect them at the end of the year.
