We’re so glad you’re here! As a parent or guardian of a Mountain View choir student, you are a vital part of what makes this program thrive. This page is your hub for important updates, resources, and ways to get involved.
📘 PARENT HANDBOOK
New! Download your comprehensive Choir Parent Handbook for everything you need this year—from event overviews to communication tools and volunteer info. It’s your complete guide to supporting your student and staying informed—right at your fingertips.
All parents and guardians of choir students are automatically members of the Choir Parent Organization (CPO)—a vital part of what makes the Mountain View Choir program thrive. The CPO plans and facilitates events, raises funds, provides free vocal coaching, supports scholarships, and partners with directors to create unforgettable experiences for students.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
To ensure our events run smoothly and our students thrive, each choir student’s parent or guardian is expected to assist with at least two events during the school year. To help make volunteering more meaningful and manageable, we’re introducing committees this year. You’ll have the opportunity to choose a committee at the required Parent Kickoff Meeting in August based on your interests, skills, and availability. Parents/guardians who don’t select a committee will be thoughtfully placed where help is most needed.
MONTHLY CPO MEETINGS
The CPO is led by a small board of dedicated parent volunteers who coordinate efforts and welcome your ideas and involvement. Monthly meetings are typically held on the third Thursday at 7:00 PM in Choir Room #4101. (Check the Choir Calendar for exact dates.) Come stay informed, offer insights, and help shape the year ahead!
